Tanvir Mahmud

Tanvir Mahmud is a research intern in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).  His research focuses on audio-visual learning, video captioning, generative models, and efficient-transfer learning.

He is a third-year Ph.D. student in the ECE department at the University of Texas at Austin where he works under the supervision of Prof. Diana Marculescu.  Tanvir earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.  He did internships in ASG in 2023 and at Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence in 2022.

In his spare time, Tanvir likes to travel, read books, and listen to traditional music.
