Hamid Vaezi Joze joined Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group in January, 2017.  Before that he was a member of the 3D Vision R&D team at Apple, Inc.  He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, in 2013 and his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran in 2006 and 2008.

Hamid’s research interests are in the areas of computer vision, image processing, and machine learning.
