Research Intern for Social Computing Group

Number of Openings: 2-4 Location: Beijing Group Introduction: The Social Computing Group at Microsoft Research Asia is dedicated to integrating computer science with social sciences, deeply exploring the profound impact of artificial intelligence on society and human behavior. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and research, we focus on the roles and challenges of AI in areas such as work, education, media, governance, and culture. Our goal is to profoundly understand and actively shape the development of AI to ensure its alignment with core human values, working together to build a safer and more transparent future. Our research areas encompass value alignment, AI safety, large model evaluation, copyright protection, computational sociology, and other cutting-edge fields, striving to lead innovation and transformation in the wave of AI. Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with researchers from different disciplines to combine AI technology with social science research.
  • Developing and testing new AI algorithms and applications.
  • Read and survey relevant literature and write academic papers.
Qualifications:
  • Interest and willingness to participate in interdisciplinary projects, with the ability to collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent programming skills or relevant project experience.
  • Quick learning ability.
  • Proficiency in using English as a working language.
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit.
  • Written consent from your academic advisor.
