Feature evolution

How Frontier features evolve

As cutting-edge Frontier features mature, they may move into preview and eventually become generally available.

Early access and exploration

Frontier features are available for early exploration. They may change, expand, or be removed based on user feedback before broader release.

Broader testing and validation

Features may then move into preview, meaning they’re more widely available but still developing. Functionality may continue to evolve prior to general availability.

Fully released and supported

Finally, generally available (GA) features are fully released and supported as part of Microsoft 365. They are broadly available, according to licensing and service plans.
